- Guest engagement and employee engagement
Regal is very happy to continue to pledge our commitment to our Regal Sustainability Programme – “Love our Community” – which is also our Management Theme for 2013 and 2014. Regal first launched our Group Sustainability Programme in 2012. This long-term Programme includes 3 pillars – Environmental Responsibility, Social Responsibility and Economic Responsibility. We have celebrated our achievements and to share our great works in Environmental Responsibility – including but not limited to attaining EarthCheck Bronze Benchmarking Certificate, Carbon “Less” Certificate, “Class of Good” of Wastewise Label. While we continue with our efforts towards EarthCheck Silver certifications in the future, it is time for us to move forward to start the second Sustainability pillar – Social Responsibility. Amongst many possible community engagements, RHI Social Responsibility Steering Committee Members have identified 4 areas of focus; they are Youth Development, Health Enhancement, Social Inclusion and Associate Advancement. As a responsible company, Regal strives to be the leader in corporate citizenship in the communities where we operate. As professional hoteliers, we work with people everyday – people from different cultures and from all walks of life. We shall practice Social Responsibilities in our daily life and inspire others to do the same. Like we do in our Environmental Responsibility Programmes, we will continue to engage our guests, our business partners, our associates, our families and our friends in our Social Responsibility Programmes. To put our commitment into action, we have started and will continue to form 2 Regal Volunteer Teams – we name them Color our World and Young Color our World - the members of which contains 2 age groups – adult and young persons – who will work together with us to serve our communities. Our RHI Social Responsibility Steering Committee, chaired by Chief Operating Officer and supported by all RHI Heads of Function, will lead our RHI Working Committee, our Hotel Working Committees and our Color our World Teams to carry out Social Responsibility Programmes. Thank you! Belinda Yeung |
